Wedding flower arrangements are as beautiful and unique as the bride herself. When picking a flower arrangement for a wedding, it is important to focus on the quality of the flowers and not just the quantity. Fresh flowers may be expensive but they are an important part of the bride and groom’s special day and are well worth the price.

When planning wedding flower arrangements, the first thing to do is to find a good florist. A good florist will be able to help pick the right flowers, will have fresh well cut flowers, beautiful arrangements, and will be reliable. The easiest way to gauge if a florist you are unfamiliar with is a good florist is by reputation.  Family and friends may be able to provide details, but be sure to ask the right questions. Looking online at review sites may also help to gauge if you have found a good florist. Of course, doing some scouting and visiting different florist will help in finding a trustworthy florist.

The next step in planning floral arrangements for a wedding is to decide on the colors and types of flowers in the arrangement. Check to see if the bride has a theme picked for the wedding. She may already have certain colors in mind. If not an overall theme may help with some ideas. The time of year, location, and whether it is and indoor or outdoor wedding will also influence what flowers are available and appropriate. Choosing flowers that are local and in season may help determine the arrangements.  If the bride has already chosen colors or picked out bridesmaids’ dresses she must make sure that the colors of the flowers fit what she has already chosen. Finding out what the bride’s favorite flowers are will be a great jumping off point to start planning the flower arrangements. Remember that no matter what arrangements are picked, it is the bride’s special day, and nothing should detract from that.
